If your financial resources allow at a later date, you can increase your capital share – and reduce your rent – by ‘stair casing’ that share up to a maximum of 80%.

- have worked in the area for 1 year (with a permanent contract), or
- have a close relative that has lived in the area for more than 5 years.
Renters also need to be registered on the Dorset Housing Register.
